Biofuels in Australia: Where to from here?

I have arrived in Australia and will be based at Melbourne University for 12 months. During this time I will conduct some research into biofuels for transport in Australia. The first objective is to look into the ongoing activities, policies and actors relevant to biofuels, and the second objective is to identify possibilities for collaboration between Sweden and Australia. With Sweden forging ahead with biofuels, and Australia in a position to rapidly expand biofuels there is a real opportunity for constructive cooperation. But first, I need to better understand the current challenges for biofuels in Australia ... I will start with contacting the Biofuels Association of Australia and Bioenergy Australia.
