And the bio-economy in Australia?

Looking at Australia, there is no official national startegy on the bio-economy. But the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation or CSIRO has establised some webpages that outline bio-economy opportunities and challenges for Australia. It states that the bioeconomy provides an opportunity for Australia to redefine the role of agricultural, natural resources and sustainable energy production. The CSIRO has produced a brochure on the emerging bio-economy. Furthermore, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has a report entitled Biotecnology and Australian Agriculture that closely connects with the bio-economy and  agriculture in the Australian context. The Department for Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education released an industrial biotechnology strategy in 2008, and it maintains some webpages on the bioeonomy and industrial biotechnology. It refers to the EU, USA and OECD work on the bioeconomy as well as Canada, Finland and Germany. It also mentions the Knowledge-Based Bio-Economy (KBBE) forum, which is Australia participtes in with the EU, Canada and New Zealand. The KBBE forum aims to share knowledge on policy strategies and actions, and create new knowledge to address the societal challenges related to the bioeconomy. And that is a quick overview of governmental bio-economy activities in Australia!

Australia's economy is indeed making it's way on the top but still, searching for an income protection quote among citizens is still a wise thing to do.
